WikiDeal:Community portal
Community portal
What this community is for
The purpose of the WikiDeal community is simple: a community of users who sign fair everyday contracts, for babysitting, transport, housing, bike lending and many other services, using a smartphone application, with the feeling of belonging to an honest, fair community. In short: fair deals with nice people.
You can already take part
To make this community emerge, WikiDeal follows the path of Wikipedia and other wiki projects: from the very beginning, people can be active participants who post contribution proposals directly in the wiki part of WikiDeal.
What is already open:
- You can create an account and start editing right away.
- For now, contributions are open in the Market space and in the Open Calls.
- Anonymous editing is not possible: contributing requires an account.
We are in pre-launch mode
It is understandable that some things may still be difficult to grasp: WikiDeal is in pre-launch mode, and there is not yet an extremely clear structure. Things will become clearer step by step.
Meetings, webinars and welcome moments
It is already possible to set up an appointment: write to info@wikideal.net and a meeting can be scheduled on the WikiDeal Jitsi room (meet.jit.si/wikideal, currently a simple open room) for webinars and guided first steps, so that newcomers can start participating while being oriented and guided.
One of the differences WikiDeal will try to deploy, if the team has the strength for it, is a welcome moment for every newcomer: a personal moment for everyone who wants to go beyond simply signing an agreement and benefiting from services.
Governance and policies: one step at a time
For the governance and policies part, there is no constituted group yet, so things move gently. As soon as the Steering Committee feels mature, the community will be able to move forward on these topics.
