WikiDeal Deliverables β Stages 0 to 3
π‘ In simple words: This page lists what WikiDeal promises to deliver, step by step. Stage 0 is already done; the next stages come with the funding rounds. It is still a draft and may change.
π― In 20 seconds (scientific summary): This page consolidates WikiDeal's deliverables across four stages (0 to 3) and four categories (Governance including Legal, Market, Technology, Funding), stated in a results-oriented way. Stage 0 is already delivered; later stages are tied to the Love Money (CHF 200,000) and Seed (CHF 1,000,000) rounds.
β οΈ Draft β not final, subject to change. This consolidated list of deliverables is published as a working basis for discussion. It is not yet definitive and will be refined point by point.
This page describes WikiDeal's deliverables organised by stage (0 to 3) and, within each stage, by social-utility order across four categories: Governance (including Legal), Market, Technology and Funding. Each item is stated as a concrete, results-oriented outcome ("you will have receivedβ¦").
Stage 0 β Foundations (2020 β 2026, already delivered)
Stage 0 is the groundwork already produced over years of applied research. The outcomes below already exist.
1. Main work package β A new governance model for commercial marketplaces
This governance model is not a mere adaptation of Wikimedia: it is a combination of three governance traditions:
- the governance of Wikimedia (principles and open-contribution governance);
- the governance of Swiss public-utility cooperatives, and of public-utility cooperatives in general (insurance, supermarkets, online services);
- the decentralised Swiss political system (federalism and direct, decentralised democracy).
The central deliverable of Stage 0. Outcome: a living wiki of around 700 pages (over 500 articles) that documents and operationalises this combined governance model for commercial marketplaces.
You will have received:
- A wiki of ~700 pages (over 500 articles) covering governance, innovation portals, economy and funding mechanisms, arbitration, validation and market structures
- The full adaptation, translation and transcription of Wikimedia governance rules to the world of commerce
- A complete governance architecture: portals, roles, decision and voting procedures
- The documented "rules of the game" for a commons-based commercial platform
2. A solid start-up structuring agreement (robust architecture)
Outcome: a solid structuring of the project start, enabling framed and healthy progress.
You will have received:
- The Founder Agreement between the Founder and the Ynternet.org Foundation (full transfer of rights β trademark and copyrights β under CC BY-SA and free-software licences)
- The creation of the operating entity Netizen3
- A constituted steering committee / foundation council
- Minutes (PV) of preparatory sessions with the members of the foundation council
- A documented global governance framework (beyond mere validation)
- A mandate and time-limited exploitation rights granted by the Ynternet.org Foundation to Netizen3 (a Swiss non-profit association, temporary vehicle and first User Group) to raise the funds and operate the Prototype 1 services, revocable at the end of stage 1
3. Specific concepts and models (results)
You will have received clearly specified concepts, each with examples and a framework:
- The "Open Coach" concept β coaching to design and adapt deals (with examples and a framework)
- The Arbitration concept β structured online dispute resolution (Portal:Validation/Arbitration)
- The Contract Endorsement concept β lawyer endorsements vouching for contract validity per jurisdiction (Portal:Validation/Legal Endorsement)
- The specific Funding model β funding-cap, redistributive non-speculative WikiDeal tokens, unbundling mechanism
- The structural architecture of the incubator
- A legal references database and a growing contract template library
4. Legal groundwork (results)
You will have received:
- Preliminary legal studies and interviews with several attorneys
- The specific legal basis for a redistributive, non-speculative funding model (see legal studies)
5. Market β first real services and outreach
You will have received:
- The structuring of ~20 marketplaces (portals), each with its structure and content β e.g. Babysitting (highly developed, ~30 contract pages), Care, Housing, Education, Microcredit, Real Estate, and more
- Six services already active and payable with WikiDeal tokens: monthly subscription, tailored consulting, app incubation & deployment, online arbitration, open-calls application support, AI-assisted onboarding
- Multiple public presentations (including 24 September 2026) and online communications
- Participation in Wikimania two years running: Nairobi 2025 and Paris 2026 (Wikipedia's 25th anniversary), with hands-on workshops
6. Technology (facilitation stage)
At Stage 0, technology is still a facilitation layer rather than a fully integrated system. You will have received:
- The technological installation (MediaWiki, extensions, hosting)
- An AI facilitation tool β used to help take on and process improvements (not yet a fully integrated AI; see Portal:AI Assistance)
End of Prototype 1 and possible restructuring
Prototype 1 ends once the first million (CHF 1,000,000) has been spent. During that spending period, a reflection on possible fundamental restructuring will take place, depending on the results obtained during Prototype 1.
Prototype 1 will include pilot experiments, findings, and possibly proposals. What is certain is that these proposals will be debated with a degree of user involvement, proportionate to the quantity and quality of users.
Stage 1 β Love Money: CHF 200,000 ("Launch One")
Governance / Legal
You will have received:
- The legal package (~CHF 50,000): legal opinions on funding + a tax ruling via a law firm β this is Deliverable 1
- Lawyer endorsements per jurisdiction + the arbitration framework (Portal:Validation)
- A growing contract template library
- Minimal participatory governance (core team of 2β4 people + consultants)
Market
You will have received:
- The first test services / pilot experiments (dogfooding)
- Preparation of pilot experiments within the CID framework (application filing, arbitration, priority markets β e.g. babysitting)
- The first open calls run β including the URL structuring led by Florence Devouard (to be confirmed)
Technology
You will have received:
- URL structuring
- Contracts with variables (MediaWiki extension)
- Core platform infrastructure + the contribution/support dashboard
Funding
You will have received:
- The CHF 200,000 raise (guerrilla mode) + the unbundling mechanism
Stage 2 β Seed: CHF 1,000,000

Technology
Large-scale infrastructure.
