Prototype 1 Deliverables
Prototype 1 represents the foundational stage of WikiDeal — establishing the legal, media/communication, and technological bases required for the platform to function and grow. This stage is divided into two funding cycles, with a total budget of CHF 1,000,000.
Funding Cycles
Cycle 1 — CHF 200,000 (Guerrilla Mode)
The first cycle operates in lean, high-impact mode:
- Minimal participatory governance
- Small focused team of 2–4 core people
- Selected external consultants
- Objective: establish a clear framework and initial proof of concept
Cycle 2 — CHF 800,000 (Consolidation)
The second cycle builds on the foundations laid in Cycle 1:
- Build on Cycle 1 deliverables
- Strengthen, scale, and professionalize all three pillars
- Broader participatory governance
- Total Stage 1 budget: CHF 1,000,000

The legal pillar establishes the contractual and juridical framework that makes WikiDeal agreements meaningful, enforceable, and trusted across jurisdictions.

- Contract ecosystem: compensatory measures, alerts, and amendment processes

The media and communication pillar builds the public presence and community-facing assets that attract early adopters and educate the broader public.

- Content designed to attract pioneers from:
- Associative and nonprofit sector
- Cooperative movement

C. Technology Foundations
The technology pillar delivers the core platform infrastructure and innovative mechanisms that differentiate WikiDeal from standard wiki deployments.
Deliverables:
- Contracts with variables — MediaWiki extension development enabling dynamic contract templates with configurable variables (not currently possible on standard MediaWiki)
- Unbundling mechanism — a financial architecture that:
- Boosts funding capacity
- Progressively deprivatizes the platform
- Empowers citizen funding
- Attracts support from foundations and public utility organizations dedicated to the commons
- Core platform infrastructure (MediaWiki configuration, extensions, hosting)
- Integration with the investment and support dashboard
