馃幆 In 20 seconds (scientific summary): This observatory tracks organizations aligned with commons-based peer production and platform cooperativism. The emerging trend suggests WikiDeal is positioning itself within an ecosystem of mission-driven entities鈥攆oundations, networks, and cooperative platforms鈥攚here synergistic collaboration may prove more strategic than direct competition, particularly across knowledge commons, open infrastructure, and alternative economic models.
This observatory is under construction and not yet active. It is part of the WikiDeal observatories: citizen-run, participatory and volunteer-based.
The Potential Partners observatory is intended to watch organizations with which WikiDeal could cooperate rather than compete: foundations, networks, cooperatives and platforms bringing complementary strengths. A first list of potential partners already exists in the Competition & Cooperation observatory; this observatory would extend and maintain it, and prepare concrete cooperation proposals.

A first family of potential partners consists of commons-based communities, watched since the earlier open observatories:

- Debian Project: free software distribution
- P2P Foundation: research on commons-based peer production
- Platform cooperatives: cooperative alternatives to extractive platforms
