About me
I was born in Brazil and have been deeply engaged in sustainability, digital governance, and community empowerment for over 20 years. My work spans project management, multimedia communications, and data-driven decision-making, with a focus on sustainable development.
I have served as Communications Director and a member of the Director Circle of the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN) from 2019 to 2022, where I played a key role in global sustainability strategies, stakeholder engagement, and communication initiatives to support the ecovillage movement worldwide. I also volunteered as Brazil's representative at the Latin American Council of Sustainable Settlements – CASA Latina from 2017 to 2021.
One of my most rewarding projects was co-creating Aldeia, a sustainable community in Bahia, Brazil. In this initiative, I helped design and govern the community, integrating sustainability strategies, ecological building, and regenerative practices. This project allowed me to co-create participatory decision-making models and strengthen the community's resilience and sustainability. I left the project in 2016 but Aldeia is still striving and ongoing.
Since 2007, I have led Instituto Irradiando Luz, a project dedicated to education, culture, and sustainability. Through this initiative, I’ve supported ecovillages, quilombolas, and local communities, applying methodologies such as Sociocracy S3, Dragon Dreaming, Design Thinking, and Systemic Thought to foster collective governance and self-sustaining practices.
I was also involved in the Millennium Challenge, an online augmented reality game promoting the UN's Millennium Development Goals. As project manager and pedagogical content editor, I supported 94 social and environmental projects led by students from Brazilian public schools. The project impacted around 6,000 high school students and 350 teachers from over 300 public schools in Santa Catarina and Minas Gerais, encouraging digital inclusion and sustainability education.
Academic and Research Contributions
I hold a Master's in Management from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), where I focused my thesis on how ecovillages manage conflicts. This research pioneered the first extensive mapping of sustainable settlements and alternative communities in Brazil. The resulting ecovillage map contributed to the current map of the Council of Sustainable Settlements of Brazil – CASA Brasil. As a Fellow Researcher at the Núcleo Organizações, Racionalidade e Desenvolvimento, I have published several academic papers on management, social entrepreneurship, and critical management studies, with an emphasis on the Brazilian context.
Beyond my academic work, I have contributed to several applied research projects. As a Public Policy Researcher at the Santa Catarina Observatory of Social Innovation (FAPESC), I applied data engineering and analysis to help strengthen social innovation ecosystems and support the state's public policies aligned with the UN SDGs.
My work at WikiDeal
In February 2025, I started contributing as a Project Manager at WikiDeal, where I focus on supporting the project’s development and documentation, ensuring content coherence and design, and helping to create the project's vision, scenarios, and philosophy. Previously, I worked as a Sustainability Data Manager at Kausal, focusing on the Latin American market.
I have specialized in multimedia communications since 2008, managing web and digital platforms for sustainability-focused organizations. My work includes developing impactful campaigns, digital engagement strategies, and open knowledge projects to promote sustainability and community-led governance frameworks.
