From WikiDeal
This is the latest revision of this page; it has no approved revision.

This is a draft version. Source: adapted notably from the Wikimedia Foundation Governance Wiki, https://foundation.wikimedia.org/wiki/Legal:Wikimedia_Foundation_Feedback_Privacy_Statement (CC BY-SA 4.0), with changes. Status: proposal, to be adopted. See the detailed disclaimer.

In simple words: when you send feedback about the platform (through a feedback tool or form), that feedback would be treated as public: it could be published, discussed and reused under a free license. So do not put anything private in it. Your personal details would stay protected by the privacy policy.

Your feedback

We appreciate your feedback! Feedback from users like you is one of the best ways for the community and the hosting foundation to find out what works, what does not, and how the services of the WikiDeal Markets and Portals (collectively, "the Platform") can improve.

When you contribute feedback through a feedback tool or feature of the Platform, it would be treated in a transparent way. In short, you agree to make your contribution public and to license it under either CC0 or CC BY-SA 4.0. Unless otherwise stated, your personally identifiable information would be treated like other personally identifiable information under the Privacy policy (first draft, under review).

If you submit an email address, it could be used to communicate with you and send you updates on your feedback.

The Ynternet.org Foundation would be able to view the feedback and other collected information, including your user ID (if you provided one) and any other data provided or transmitted with the feedback.

As part of efforts to support or help improve the Platform, public review and discussion of issues could be sought. For that reason, some or all of your feedback and other public information could be published in public media, including websites and blogs.

Please avoid including any information in your feedback that you would not want to have published. In particular, never include in your feedback the private variables of a contract (names, amounts, addresses or similar details): those belong to the private regime of the Platform and are not meant to be published.

Information could be disclosed when required by law, when needed to protect rights, privacy, safety, or users, and when necessary to enforce the Terms of Use.

Your feedback and other information could be shared with third-party service providers in an effort to support or help improve the operations and activities of the Platform.

By providing feedback, you consent to the transfer of the collected information to Switzerland and other places as may be necessary to carry out the purposes and objectives discussed above. You understand that you have no expectation of compensation for any ideas that you provide.

Thanks again for helping make the Platform better!
