Contract validation by students of law and administration — a WikiDeal pedagogy scenario. Proposed scenario, basis for discussion.
The training scenario
Students of law and administration take part in the validation of contracts on WikiDeal, as part of their studies:
- Their educational institution and the WikiDeal side agree on a pedagogical contract (see below).
- The students validate contracts on WikiDeal: they review contract bases and clauses, check their coherence and clarity, document problems found and improvements proposed, and record their validation work publicly on the wiki.
- The work is carried out under the supervision of their teachers.
- On completion, the institution attributes ECTS credits for the validated work.
This scenario would give students real professional practice on real contracts, while helping WikiDeal reach a higher level of human validation of its contract bases (see Validation & Endorsement).
The pedagogical contract
The arrangement is a contract in itself, of pedagogical type. It would describe, at least:
- the parties: the student, the educational institution, and the WikiDeal side;
- the work: which contracts are to be validated, following which method, over which period;
- the supervision: who supervises and evaluates the work on the academic side;
- the credits: how many ECTS credits are attributed, and on which completion criteria.
Like other WikiDeal contracts, the pedagogical contract is intended to be published, improved collaboratively, and reusable by other institutions.
