Welcome to the WikiDeal pedagogy home page. The Pedagogy portal is where WikiDeal and the world of education meet: training scenarios in which students learn by contributing real work to WikiDeal, and receive academic credits (ECTS) for it. Each scenario is framed by a pedagogical contract: a contract in itself, of pedagogical type, between the student, the educational institution and the WikiDeal side. This page explains the concept and lists the scenarios, each with its own page.
What is a WikiDeal pedagogy scenario?
A WikiDeal pedagogy scenario is intended to be a learning-by-doing arrangement: students carry out real, useful work on WikiDeal (for example validating contracts), under the supervision of their teachers, and their institution attributes ECTS credits for the work accomplished.
The arrangement is formalised as a pedagogical contract: a contract in its own right, of pedagogical type, describing the work to be done, the supervision, and the credits attributed.
The scenarios (open list)
The list below is open: new scenarios can be added whenever an educational partner and a WikiDeal working group want to build one.
- Contract validation by students of law and administration: students validate contracts on WikiDeal and receive ECTS credits.
- Course model (adapted from Wiki Education, CC BY-SA 4.0): the term-long course structure for the scenario above, with ECTS workload and credit equivalences for other world regions.
