User group:Home
User groups are collectives of users gathering around shared interests to participate in the WikiDeal ecosystem. They can focus on the topics they like, for example on specific markets, use cases, geographies, demographics, ethical considerations, technical issues, etc., or combinations of such factors. User groups are one of the driving forces of WikiDeal, coordinating efforts to improve the ecosystem in different ways. User groups are encouraged to create their own wiki page using the User group: namespace and use it as a tool and dashboard for planning, acting and communicating. Current user groups
At this stage, only two user groups exist:
- WikiDeal Steering Committee — currently in constitution, gathering members of the Ynternet.org Foundation council.
- First Wave Open Call respondents — users who create an account and respond to the first wave of the Open Calls.

How to create a user group?
It is currently not possible to create a new user group — but this is coming. The first user groups will be launched and incubated as part of the deliverables of Prototype 1 Phase 2 (once the CHF 200,000 funding milestone is reached). During Phase 1, the core infrastructure is being built and no new user groups will be deployed.
In the meantime, you can read the Creation rules to prepare: requirements (founding members, purpose, alignment with WikiDeal principles) and the recognition process (Board of Audit review).
How to join a user group?
The simplest way to get involved today is to create an account and respond to the first wave of the Open Calls. Joining procedures for future user groups will be published with Prototype 1 Phase 2.
