💡 In simple words: When something is exchanged on WikiDeal, two tiny, clearly shown fees help keep the platform and the local group running. No secret charges.
Double Commission
Innovation — WikiDeal R&D
| Origin | 🔵 Wikimedia Foundation |
| Status | Prototype 1 — In testing |
What is it?
Every transaction on WikiDeal carries two transparent commissions: a very small WikiDeal platform fee and a small User Group fee. Both are charged at cost and shown openly, replacing the opaque, extractive single fees common on commercial platforms. The structure funds the shared infrastructure and the local community that supports the exchange.
How it works on WikiDeal
The platform fee sustains the common technical and governance infrastructure, while the User Group fee supports the local or thematic community handling the transaction. Both rates are published transparently. Exact rate-setting and governance of these commissions are documented progressively as the platform evolves.
