💡 In simple words: WikiDeal wants to test its fair contracts in real life. These small test projects are called pilots. Three pilots have been chosen to start: babysitting, street fundraising, and small loans between people. Many other ideas are candidates: they are being studied, and could become pilots later.

🎯 In 20 seconds (scientific summary): Pilot use cases are the real-world experiments through which Prototype 1 is intended to demonstrate the WikiDeal model in practice. Pilots can address any domain: the model is domain-neutral. Three use cases are currently retained: Babysitting (the model pilot, simple and studied first), Street Fundraising, and Peer-to-Peer Small Loans (pre-selected within Prototype 1). All other tracks are candidate pilots under study, a list intended to grow: Real Estate Restoration and the AI-Driven Politician Agreement are the first documented examples. The delivery targets of the pilots are defined in Milestone 2 of the Prototype 1 deliverables.

Pilot use cases

What is a pilot use case

A pilot use case is a real-world experiment: a marketplace domain where WikiDeal contracts, governance and economic mechanisms are intended to be tested with actual users. Pilots can address any domain: the model itself is domain-neutral. The framework for these experiments is Prototype 1, and their delivery targets are defined in Milestone 2 of the Prototype 1 deliverables.

Two categories must be clearly distinguished:

• Selected pilots: the pilot experiments retained for Prototype 1: Babysitting, Street Fundraising, and the pre-selected Peer-to-Peer Small Loans.
• Candidate pilots under study: ideas documented and explored, but not selected. They could become pilots later.

Selected pilots

Babysitting: the model pilot

Babysitting has been retained as the model pilot, for two reasons:

• it is simple: immediately easy to understand for every kind of audience, and legally straightforward;
• it has been studied: preliminary studies identified babysitting, on both legal and market grounds, as the most workable starting point in a lightly occupied market (see Why and How WikiDeal Can Work).

The corresponding marketplace space is the Babysitting portal, which is intended to demonstrate the full contract lifecycle: base contract, amendments, addenda, closing and mutual evaluation.

Street Fundraising

Street Fundraising is the second selected pilot, listed together with Babysitting in Milestone 2 of the Prototype 1 deliverables; see the Street Fundraising portal.

Peer-to-Peer Small Loans (pre-selected)

A third use case has been pre-selected within Prototype 1: small-amount loans between private individuals. WikiDeal contracts are intended to frame simple peer-to-peer loans of small sums, in a spirit close to microcredit: amount, repayment terms, mutual commitments, closing and mutual evaluation. Candidate pilots under study

These tracks are documented but not selected: they are candidates, under study. Many more candidate examples exist beyond the ones listed here: this list is intended to grow as further ideas are documented.

• AI-Driven Politician Agreement: a contract framework for political candidates committing to needs-based, statistically grounded positions independent of the left-right divide, with AI-verified compliance supervised by a human verification committee. • Real Estate Restoration: a more specific track, described in Pilot: Real Estate Restoration. It is not a current priority, but it remains documented as a possible future pilot.

Beyond these, the second funding tranche of Prototype 1 aims at launching open calls for pilot experiments, open to any type of community.
