WikiDeal expects that conflicts over edits and social interactions in general will appear over time, as they do on Wikipedia. The approach proposed as a working basis is to observe to what extent such conflicts actually happen, how serious or problematic they turn out to be, and how well the community manages them, before adding heavier rules. The capacity to seek consensus and to contribute in a participatory way is also one of the criteria envisaged for granting administration rights (see [[Gov/en/Portal:Onboarding/How-to-Contribute#beyond-markets|how to contribute]]).

💡 In simple words: Moderation means making sure people work together nicely on WikiDeal. We watch what happens and help solve problems before making lots of rules.

🎯 In 20 seconds (scientific summary): We are heading towards a participatory moderation model that prioritizes observational monitoring of edit conflicts and social interactions before implementing formal governance structures. This hypothesis proposes that community-led consensus-building, coupled with capability-based administration rights, may establish more adaptive self-regulation mechanisms than preemptive regulatory frameworks.

Conflicts over edits and social interactions: observing before regulating

WikiDeal expects that conflicts over edits and social interactions in general will appear over time, as they do on Wikipedia. The approach proposed as a working basis is to observe to what extent such conflicts actually happen, how serious or problematic they turn out to be, and how well the community manages them, before adding heavier rules. The capacity to seek consensus and to contribute in a participatory way is also one of the criteria envisaged for granting administration rights (see how to contribute).
