At this stage, open participation takes place in the [[Markets/en/Portal:All Portals/Main|Markets]] space, where anyone can propose use cases, contract templates and complete structures. The rest of the platform (governance, policies, institutions, everything outside the Markets) can currently be edited only by people holding administration rights. If you would like to take part in that work, the first step proposed is to identify yourself and contact us at info@wikideal.net, so that these rights can be granted to you. This arrangement reflects the current stage of the project and is offered as a working basis, open to discussion.

💡 In simple words: Some people help write the rules that cities and countries follow. They can help WikiDeal talk with public institutions and make sure fair deals fit well with the law. This page explains how to take part.

🎯 In 20 seconds (expert summary): Entry page for policy makers and public affairs professionals: relevant areas (digital policy and platform regulation, consumer protection, social and solidarity economy, data protection, public partnerships) and the current way to get involved. There is no selection filter: open participation currently takes place in the Markets space, while contributing to governance, policies and institutions goes through a simple contact step (info@wikideal.net) to request administration rights, granted case by case. This page is an early draft, offered as a basis for discussion.

Contribute as a Policy Maker

Help connect cooperative e-commerce with public institutions. WikiDeal is exploring how a user-owned marketplace could fit into existing legal and political frameworks. We are looking for policy makers, civil servants and public affairs professionals interested in building bridges between this project, regulators and civil society.

Areas of interest

  • Digital policy and platform regulation
  • Consumer protection
  • Social and solidarity economy
  • Data protection and privacy frameworks
  • Public and para-public partnerships
  • Standards and interoperability

How to get involved

There is no filter and no selection process: you can start right away.

At this stage, open participation takes place in the Markets space, where anyone can propose use cases, contract templates and complete structures. The rest of the platform (governance, policies, institutions, everything outside the Markets) can currently be edited only by people holding administration rights. If you would like to take part in that work, the first step proposed is to identify yourself and contact us at info@wikideal.net, so that these rights can be granted by an administrator, after analysis and case by case (see the criteria envisaged). This arrangement reflects the current stage of the project and is offered as a working basis, open to discussion.

When you write to us, tell us which institutions or policy areas you work with, your jurisdiction(s), and how you think WikiDeal could relate to them.
