💡 In simple words: All of WikiDeal's software and writing is free for everyone to use and share. Nobody can lock it away or make it secret.
Systematic Libre Licensing
Innovation — WikiDeal R&D
| Origin | 🔴 Free Software Foundation |
| Status | Prototype 1 — In testing |
What is it?
Systematic Libre Licensing means WikiDeal uses free/libre licenses everywhere, by default: AGPL v3 for all software and CC BY-SA 4.0 for all content, with no exceptions. This guarantees that the WikiDeal commons cannot be privatized — derivative works and forks must remain open, so the shared resource stays shared.
How it works on WikiDeal
Every piece of code and content is released under these copyleft licenses from the outset, ensuring downstream reuse stays libre. This protects the commons against proprietary capture even if parts of the project are forked. License application and compliance details are documented progressively as the platform evolves.
