Welcome to the WikiDeal markets home page. Market pages are where WikiDeal develops its rules, contracts and frameworks for a fair, trustworthy and cooperative economy. A market is a specific economic area in which people and institutions make deals. Market pages help to coordinate the community’s efforts by grouping contributors around these markets, thus centralizing resources, recommendations and discussions for each market.

Each market includes the following elements:

  • Use cases: descriptions of scenarios in which a deal might need to be made in this market
  • Contract models: templates of legal contracts for specific use cases, using WikiDeal’s contract template language
  • Legal references: links to all local, national, regional or international law relevant to the market, its use cases and contract models
  • Case law: the legal precedents related to these use cases, at all relevant legal levels
  • Reminders: templates of reminder messages that the WikiDeal platform can automatically send to the parties of a deal when specific conditions are met
  • Usage tips & tutorials: guides to help users make the right choices and use the platform when doing deals in this market
  • User groups: WikiDeal’s user groups can (but don’t have to) focus on specific combinations of markets, use cases and geographical areas
  • Pre-contractual procedures
  • Compensation rules
  • Contract states

You are very welcome to start contributing to some markets: start adding material and resources for some of the elements, start a discussion, make drafts, etc.

1. Marketplaces

The marketplaces currently being incubated. Each portal gathers the use cases, contracts, legal references and compensations for one economic area:

See the overview of all portals for the full structure.

2. Tools to develop

Within each marketplace, the community builds and refines a set of tools. These are the content types you can help develop:

  • Contract structures: the bases, models, amendments, addenda and validated contracts that make up a market
  • Contract bases & models: foundation contracts and the concrete models derived from them, written in WikiDeal’s contract template language
  • Validated contracts: contracts reviewed and validated by lawyers
  • Legal references: databases of relevant law, organized by country
  • Case law: legal precedents at all relevant levels
  • Compensation rules: compensatory measures, including conditions, pricing scales and Miles Credits
  • Reminders: automated message templates sent to the parties of a deal
  • Usage tips & tutorials: guides to help users do deals well in this market

3. Join a user's group

WikiDeal’s user groups bring together contributors who focus on specific combinations of markets, use cases and geographical areas. Joining a group is the easiest way to start contributing alongside others.
