This is the proposed non-wiki privacy policy of the [https://www.ynternet.org Ynternet.org Foundation] ("the Foundation"), the non-profit foundation under Swiss law, headquartered in Geneva, which hosts and incubates the WikiDeal Markets and Portals (collectively, "the Platform"). This policy would apply to the non-wiki sites and channels operated for WikiDeal, unless stated otherwise on a specific site or channel. Examples of non-wiki channels include informational websites, newsletters and email communications, event registration pages, and official WikiDeal pages on social media platforms. Some non-wiki sites could be hosted by third-party service providers; in these cases, a link to that service provider's privacy policy would be provided. The main [[Policies/en/Privacy-Policy|Privacy policy]] (first draft, under review) is a separate document and would apply to the wiki-based Platform.

This Non-wiki Privacy Policy would apply to the collection and handling of information about you that is received as a result of your use of these non-wiki sites and channels. This personal data would be collected to understand how you interact with these non-wiki sites and related materials, to maintain and improve them, and to protect against malicious users. From time to time, such personal data could be publicly released in aggregated or anonymized form, for example by publishing a report on trends in the usage of a site.

Your information (including your email address and general location information) could be shared with people the Foundation works with (for example third-party service providers, contractors, community volunteers) in order to help maintain, better understand, or improve these non-wiki sites or the Platform. In the course of providing their services, some of these third-party providers and contractors could also collect and retain user information, including but not limited to user emails and general user location information based on IP addresses, in accordance with their privacy policies and any additional requirements put in place with them. As necessary, safeguards, such as confidentiality agreements, would be put in place to help ensure that these service providers protect the confidentiality of your personal information.

Because things naturally change over time, and to ensure this policy accurately reflects actual practices and the law, the Foundation would reserve the right to modify this Non-wiki Privacy Policy from time to time. Notice of changes would be provided in a reasonable time and manner.
