= Underage exemptions to the access to nonpublic personal data =

This page serves as an extension of the [[Policies/en/Access-to-Nonpublic-Personal-Data|Access to Nonpublic Personal Data policy]].

The [[Policies/en/Access-to-Nonpublic-Personal-Data|Access to Nonpublic Personal Data policy]] sets minimum limits for those who would be allowed to gain access to sensitive access rights such as CheckUser, Oversight or the volunteer response team. As part of the policy, volunteer response team members must be 16 or over, and all other advanced rights holders (such as CheckUsers or Oversighters) must be 18.

At times, there may be trusted users who do not meet the normal age requirements and deserve to be reviewed for a possible exception to this policy. If you wish to be considered for an exception, you may email info@wikideal.net. The general procedure that would be followed:

# The exemption must be approved by the Legal department of the Ynternet.org Foundation (General Counsel or delegate).
# The department would review the applicant and determine suitability.
# Following approval from the Legal department, the recommendation would be made to the Executive Director of the Ynternet.org Foundation, who would retain the authority to grant the exception.
# Following the Executive Director's approval, the user would be required to pass the usual community election or selection process.
# Users would be asked to have both themselves and a parent or guardian sign a modified version of the [[Policies/en/Confidentiality-Agreement-for-Nonpublic-Information|confidentiality agreement]], which would be sent to them directly if approved. Users would be added to the applicable public noticeboard.
