Most of WikiDeal’s principles are based on:
- Wikimedia Foundation Terms of Use and related governance rules on edition conflict, portals management, etc.
- Debian Social Contract for licensing and developer’s governance.
- GNU Taler principles for privacy, easy usability & competition.
- Exit To Community (E2C), ownership transitions from founders to community.
- Social Solidarity Economy principles (SSE), such as those from RIPESS.
All models of deals are licensed under the CC BY-SA 4.0, while user’s own their personal data.
